1. About PaHoVit
PaHoVit is a mobile application for dog, cat, and horse owners. It allows owners to store and manage animal health records, medication history, observations, and related information in one place. PaHoVit is operated as a sole proprietorship based in Massachusetts.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following information when you use PaHoVit:
· Account information — your email address and information necessary to authenticate and secure your account
· Animal profile information — names, species, breed, age, medical history, medications, observations, photos, and other health-related information you choose to enter
· Documents and photos — files you upload to the app, including veterinary records, lab reports, and animal photos
· Usage information — technical data necessary to operate the app, including authentication state and database transactions, collected through Google Firebase
· Crash and diagnostic information — We use Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash reports, which may include device type, operating system version, and app state at the time of a crash
We do not collect payment information directly. Subscription billing is handled by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store) and is subject to their respective privacy policies.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information you provide to operate, maintain, secure, and improve PaHoVit. Specifically:
· To store and display your animal health records within the app
· To generate PDF exports and reports you request
· To send reminders you configure within the app
· To respond to support requests you initiate
We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your information with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
We share information only in the following limited circumstances:
· Service providers — We use third-party services to operate PaHoVit, including Google Firebase for data storage and authentication, and Anthropic for post-launch AI-assisted features. These providers access your data only as necessary to perform services on our behalf
· User-directed sharing — When you choose to export or share a report, document, or record from within the app, you control who receives that information
We may also disclose information for the legal and security purposes described in Section 10.
5. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored using Google Firebase, including Firebase Authentication, Firestore, and Google Cloud Storage. Data is stored on Google's secure servers. We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
6. Animal Health Information
PaHoVit stores sensitive animal health information that you enter. Your animal health information is stored in your account and is accessed by PaHoVit only as necessary to provide, maintain, secure, or support the service. It is not sold or shared with veterinarians, insurers, advertisers, or other third parties for their independent use without your explicit action. As with all cloud-hosted services, your data may be processed by our service providers as described in this policy.
7. Third-Party Services
PaHoVit uses the following third-party services to operate:
· Google Firebase — authentication, database, and file storage
· Anthropic Claude API — used post-launch for AI-assisted lab value extraction from uploaded documents. Document content sent to this service is handled in accordance with Anthropic's API data usage policy
· Apple App Store / Google Play Store — subscription billing and app distribution
8. Data Retention
Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may export and download your records at any time while your account is active.
If you choose to delete your account, you will be prompted to export any records you wish to keep before deletion is finalized. Following account deletion, all data including passed animal records is purged within 30 days.

10. Legal and Security Disclosures
We may access, preserve, or disclose your information if we believe doing so is reasonably necessary to:
· Comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request
· Enforce our Terms of Service
· Protect the security or integrity of PaHoVit
· Protect the rights, property, or safety of PaHoVit, our users, or the public
11. Children's Privacy
PaHoVit is intended for users who are at least 13 years of age, or the minimum age required to use digital services in their jurisdiction. By using PaHoVit, you confirm that you meet this age requirement. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a user is under 13, we will take steps to delete their account and associated data.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. For material changes to how we handle your personal information, we will provide notice through the app or by email as appropriate.
13. Data Location
PaHoVit is operated in the United States. Your information is stored and processed in the United States and other locations where our service providers, including Google Firebase, operate. Your information may therefore be transferred to and processed in locations outside the state, province, or country where you reside.
